John Spencer (@spencerideas and http://www.spencerauthor.com/ ) has been one of the biggest, if not biggest, influences on my teaching career. (By day, I’m a 6th grade social studies teacher.)  I can remember when he used to do a twitter chat on Saturday mornings called Reform Chat, or #rechat for short. It was one of the first twitter chats that I regularly participated in. It changed my outlook and my ideas of what teaching truly was/is. Our paths have crossed many times since then, including rooming together at a conference, helping him and AJ Juliani with an online conference, some other logo work, and my favorite, meeting for dinner when he’s close.

John was in need of a new identity that would encompass all of his “brands” into one and I was truly honored to be able to do that for him. When someone of John’s artistic fortitude (Have you seen his sketchy videos?) asks you to do his personal logo, it’s a little intimidating. Thank you, John, for your friendship, trust, letting me design your logo, and always for your help.

You can find this logo on his blog, his youtube, videos, his keynote slides, and everywhere in between.

Thank you, John.

Matt
